Remote Virtual Private Servers Administration
The whole concept of a Virtual Private Servers or Virtual Hosting (which is what most other
hosting providers offer) is based on remote administration. Many small to medium sized business
simply cannot afford to install a T1 into their office (let alone a DS3) and lay down the capital,
time, and human resources necessary to maintain a dedicated connection to the Internet. A Virtual
Private Server allows you to have a dedicated presence on the Internet and maintain it remotely
via a low cost dial-up connection.
User Interfaces
There are several user interfaces that allow you to administer your Virtual Private Servers in an
easy-to-use and comfortable environment.
iManager
Our most comprehensive tool is iManager. iManager provides wizards that guide you through the
step-by-step process of uploading files to your Virtual Private Servers, managing files,
creating e-mail accounts, and much more. Because iManager runs from your web browser (Netscape
Navigator, Internet Explorer, and others), accessing your Virtual Private Servers is as easy as
surfing a web site.
Telnet or SSH
Providing shell account access to our Virtual Private Serverss is a fundamental part of our
philosophy. By using a Telnet or SSH client, you can connect to your Virtual Private Servers
from anywhere in the world, and log in as if you were sitting right in front it.
The UNIX O/S
At the core of of our hosting technology is the UNIX Operating System (O/S).
